ANZ Bank has outraged customers by changing easy signage with QR codes detailing fundamental data equivalent to opening hours and department particulars.
The bank mentioned customers can scan the QR codes to get up-to-date data — however some customers are unimpressed, saying the codes could also be significantly problematic for aged customers.
“ANZ introduced QR codes so customers can access the most up-to-date information about our trading hours,” ANZ mentioned.

Natoli: “They tell us not to click on the link when you get an SMS or in an email but then you can scan a potentially malicious QR code, because they’re easy to paste over or whatever.
“So, I don’t know what they are thinking.
“I have to side with the angry majority here, because it doesn’t make any common sense.”
