“If we had known about the road closure we would have closed the cafe today as we will lose money after paying the staff, etc,” she stated.

“Not to mention we travel 90 minutes each way to get here and back.”

After no response from the town, Ms Moorhouse reached out again the next week, stressing the increase in store closures within 100m of their cafe.

“How many more will close before we get some action from the City of Perth?” she stated.

“I don’t think we are asking too much, this is our livelihood we are talking about.

“It’s very obvious that no one cares about the damage being done to business in this area and we are so very disgusted in the way we are being treated.”

The close by Deli Italia Perth has briefly closed.

A metropolis spokesperson stated they and contractor Civcon had offered ongoing info to companies concerning the works.
