Ramelius Sources constitution airplane pressured to show | Australian Markets
A mining constitution airplane was pressured to show round and return to an airstrip within the distant Murchison after one of its engines failed during a Perth-bound flight on Thursday morning.
The incident about 9.50am concerned mid-tier gold producer Ramelius Sources, an East Perth company which mines within the Murchison, in and round Mt Magnet.
A spokesperson for Ramelius on Thursday afternoon stated a “Perth-bound plane departing our Penny operations had to return shortly after take-off when one of its engines failed”.
The spokesperson stated all passengers and crews returned safely to the airstrip on the Penny gold mine.
“Ramelius has notified relevant authorities and is working to get the affected passengers to their destination,” the company spokesperson stated.
The spokesperson was “unable” to substantiate how many people had been on board and what sort of plane was concerned.
The Penny Gold mine is about 150km south-east of Ramelius’ Mt Magnet mining and processing operations and about 550km north-east of Perth.
Ramelius acquired the location in 2020 through an off-market takeover offer of Spectrum Metals.
